IFCGIf it’s possible, we’ll get it done.
Our principles

People, community & environmental commitments.

Our values are practical commitments. They shape how we treat people, learn, make decisions, serve communities, and use resources. IFCG is a small advisory practice, and we describe our standards without claiming workforce results or programs we have not measured.

Everyone has a place at the table

IFCG Advisors is an affirmative advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. People bring different identities, ages, abilities, backgrounds, beliefs, experiences, and ideas to work. We welcome those differences because they help us question assumptions, recognize problems, and find better solutions.

We oppose discrimination, harassment, exclusion, systemic racial inequity, including anti-Black racism, and barriers to opportunity. We recognize that seemingly neutral hiring rules, technologies, work processes, and institutional practices can produce unequal outcomes. Where relevant to our work, we examine those systems and look for workable improvements.

We support fair treatment regardless of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion or nonreligion, disability, neurodivergence, age, sex, pregnancy or reproductive-health decisions, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, and other legally protected characteristics. We value differing perspectives without using “diversity of thought” as a replacement for representation or equitable access.

Age, experience, and intergenerational teams

We reject ageism directed at younger and older professionals alike. Experience, institutional memory, emerging methods, technical skills, and unfamiliar questions all matter. We encourage two-way mentoring and collaboration across career stages. No age group has a monopoly on judgment, adaptability, creativity, or innovation.

Disability, neurodiversity, and accessible opportunity

We aim to make work, communications, and assessments accessible. When an assessment method is not essential to a role, we support reasonable alternative ways to demonstrate relevant skills. We recognize dyslexia, autism, ADHD, physical, sensory, and other visible or nonvisible disabilities without assuming that any diagnosis defines a person's ability. Requests for reasonable accommodation are considered individually under applicable law.

Freedom of belief and personal observance

We respect freedom of conscience, including the freedom to practice a religion, follow personal or cultural traditions, change one's beliefs, or hold none. We do not expect employees to share leadership's or clients' beliefs. We do not maintain a preferred list of religious or cultural holidays. Individuals determine which observances and occasions matter to them.

Our flexible, unlimited-time-off philosophy encourages eligible employees to take meaningful time for personal observances, family responsibilities, rest, and other priorities, coordinated with client and operational needs. Legally required religious accommodations and protected leave remain separate from discretionary vacation arrangements. We do not require disclosure of beliefs beyond information reasonably necessary to administer a requested accommodation.

You do not have to believe what we believe, celebrate what we celebrate, or live as we live to belong at IFCG Advisors.

Respect across disagreement

We protect space for lawful civic activity, humanitarian advocacy, and good-faith disagreement, without requiring ideological conformity. Criticism of governments, institutions, and policies is not automatically discrimination against people. At the same time, threats, harassment, stereotyping, discriminatory treatment, and breaches of client confidentiality are not acceptable. These standards apply consistently, regardless of the views expressed.

Career growth, education, and continuous learning

Not knowing something should be the beginning of an opportunity to learn, not the end of an opportunity to contribute.

We value practical experience, military service, apprenticeships, community leadership, self-study, formal education, transferable skills, and the desire to develop new capabilities. Qualifications should reflect real responsibilities rather than become unnecessary barriers to opportunity.

Learning is paid working time. IFCG supports time during the workday for relevant classes, seminars, webinars, conferences, mentoring, professional reading, cross-training, and acquiring unfamiliar skills. If someone needs a day for an agreed work-related class, we make room for that day while coordinating client and operational responsibilities.

We encourage every employee to reserve at least 45 minutes each month on their work calendar specifically for learning. Read an article, watch an educational video, take a course, attend a webinar, or explore a new tool. We encourage colleagues to share something they learned at a team meeting, in a demonstration, or through a useful resource. Teaching and discussion make learning stronger.

Relevant learning time is paid; substantial training expenses and extended commitments are coordinated in advance. We do not impose a blanket annual time cap on reasonable work-related learning, nor do we promise unlimited tuition or expense reimbursement.

Environmental sustainability and climate responsibility

Climate change, pollution, and environmental degradation affect workers, communities, public institutions, and future generations. We intend environmental responsibility to influence ordinary business decisions rather than exist only as a marketing statement.

  • Digital-first operations: Prefer electronic records, signatures, reports, and collaboration; print when genuinely needed.
  • Purposeful travel: Use virtual meetings when they achieve the objective; weigh emissions, accessibility, cost, and alternatives before travel, while retaining necessary onsite work.
  • Responsible purchasing: Consider equipment efficiency, durability, repairability, reuse, and vendors' environmental practices.
  • Responsible technology: Recognize resource and energy costs of cloud services, AI, storage, and computing; favor right-sized systems and sensible data retention.
  • Waste reduction: Extend equipment life where secure and practical, reduce disposables, and dispose of electronic waste responsibly.
  • Environmental justice: Where relevant to our work, consider disproportionate environmental harms to communities with fewer resources and less decision-making power.

We will review opportunities for improvement as IFCG grows. We do not claim carbon neutrality, audited reductions, quantitative targets, or certifications we have not achieved.

The most sustainable meeting may be the one that never required an airplane ticket. The most sustainable document may be the one that never needed to be printed.

Social impact and civic participation

We support volunteering, voting, community service, lawful advocacy, peaceful assembly, and participation in days of action. People should be able to support causes meaningful to them without being compelled to endorse company or client positions. We offer scheduling flexibility and support approved paid civic or volunteer time for eligible employees, consistent with client commitments. Civic activity must respect confidentiality, safety, and professional obligations at client sites. Applicable voting-leave rights and other legal protections remain separate.

Work-life balance and time away

We believe people should have meaningful time for their families, communities, interests, personal commitments, rest, and observances. IFCG supports flexible, primarily remote work with onsite visits when projects warrant them. We intend a genuinely usable unlimited vacation approach for eligible employees, subject to reasonable coordination, workload, and applicable law. Statutory sick leave, family leave, disability accommodation, and other protected rights are separate. We do not treat contractors as employees or promise them employee benefits without a specific written agreement.

Putting commitments into practice

IFCG currently operates as a small advisory practice with periodic additional support. These statements explain our values and operating approach; they are not an employee handbook, employment contract, or claims of measured program results. We comply with applicable law, and specific employee eligibility, leave arrangements, expenses, accommodations, and contractor terms are addressed in the appropriate agreements and procedures.
